WELCOME TO TORONTO'S FIRST 100% PLANT-BASED TAQUERIA

Taqueria Vegana was born out of the need for more great vegan options in the city. We are on a mission: "TO CREATE AUTHENTIC AND DELICIOUS MEXICAN FOOD SO NO ONE FEELS LEFT OUT". MEET THE FOUNDERS

Karla
Creative Director
Karla is our creative director. She graduated as a designer in 2019 and has been a passionate vegan for six years. Her love for vegan food has taken her on a tasty adventure through Toronto, GTA, Ottawa, and Montreal, always staying on top of global vegan trends. With five years in the restaurant world, she's done it all—from cooking to managing reservations at Michelin-recognized spots. At Taqueria Vegana, Karla is the mastermind behind our brand, marketing, and front-of-house operations.
Abel
Chef
Abel is our chef with over ten years of culinary experience in Toronto's kitchens. He was a Sous-Chef at the renowned Bar Buca and worked at Joey Sherway Restaurants, where he honed his skills in budget management and leadership. Abel also grew up in his mom's restaurant, so he knows the ins and outs of the biz. At Taqueria Vegana, Abel is the kitchen boss, whipping up new dishes, perfecting our service, and training our awesome staff.
